Villa Monte Christo is located on the island of Elba, approx. 10 km. from the italian mainland. The villa lies within the beautiful resort Costa dei Gabbiani in the still unspoilt southern part of the island.
Costa dei Gabbiani is part of the naturl park of Tuscan Archipelago. It features a beautiful, never ending beach, horse riding, tennis courts, diving centre, restaurants and a mini market.
Villa Monte Christo is immersed in a natural park of 450 ha. and lies 100 mtr. above sea level, enjoying panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Villa Monte Christo is built on two levels. The entrance is on the rear side of the villa. On this level you will find a bedroom with bunk beds and a shower room.
Five steps lead down to the lower level with an open plan living/dining room with comfortable sofas and a fire place. The dining area seats 6. Large windows command breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The adjacent bright kitchen has all modern conveniences. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine.
Further on this level two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and three shower rooms.
The living room opens onto the lovely wooden terrace with stunning seaviews. There is a stone BBQ and a dining table with chairs, ideal for al fresco dining. The swimming pool of 3 x 5 mtr. is incorporated in the terrace. There are comfortable sun loungers.
The beach is only 2 km away and can be reached by a free minibus shuttle. During high season there is a miniclub and entertainment for children. The swimming pool is open from April 20th till the end of October.
Change-over day: Friday. Pets allowed.
Location
On the island of Elba. It is 120 km to Pisa airport. The island can be reached by ferry from Piombino. The access road to the park and the villa (8 km) is unpaved but in good condition. Beach 2 km (by minibus).
